Best Practices Exchange (BPE) 2016:  “California Here We Come”

We are seeking proposals for sessions to be presented at the 11th annual Best Practices Exchange (BPE), which will be held in Sacramento, CA, November 1-3, 2016. The BPE is an ‘un’conference that focuses on the management and preservation of digital information and it brings together practitioners to discuss their real-world experiences, including best practices and lessons learned.

Following the format of past Best Practices Exchanges we encourage you, the attendees, to present your projects and experiences, successes, failures and lessons learned.

It is anticipated that most sessions will be 75 minutes long with two or more speakers per session. We encourage presentations to be 30 minutes (two speakers) or 20 minutes (three speakers) in length to allow 10-15 minutes for discussion and engagement with the audience.

Note: There may be one timeslot that will accommodate a 90 minute session option.

Proposals should include an abstract of 100 words or less and the name, title, email, phone number and organization of each presenter.  A proposal may be submitted for one speaker, which will then be paired with others by the program committee; or a proposal may be submitted for a full session with multiple speakers (please contact and confirm the other speakers prior to submission.)  For more information about proposals, and for the Proposal submission form, please see the “Presentations” page on the BPE website.

 

Proposals are due by September 15, 2016.
