This is a moderated list, which originated as a discussion forum for the group using state GILS metadata for electronic publications at the state government level. The list has expanded to be a forum for discussing all aspects of providing access to state government information. That includes topics such as preservation of old, fragile paper documents, issues involved in depository programs, GILS, digitizing projects, electronic archiving, outreach, and related topics. The list is hosted by Illinois State Library.
