Best Practices Exchange 2016
We are very pleased to announce the 11th annual Best Practices Exchange (BPE) will take place in Sacramento, California, on November 1-3, 2016.
The BPE is an ‘un’conference, an informal gathering, of practitioners with a focus to manage, preserve, and provide access to digital government information. The Exchange provides an opportunity to discuss real-world experiences, including best practices and lessons learned. Past attendees include librarians, archivists, information technologists, educators, and researchers and is largely made up of folks from Government and University Archives and Libraries.
Exchange and collaboration -- the heart of the program – often features two or three individuals sharing their experiences and ideas. The format encourages you, the attendees, to present your projects and experiences, successes, failures and lessons learned. Start thinking now how you might participate in this year’s program.
More information, including registration and hotel details and a Call for Session Proposals, will be coming your way soon. If you already have a session proposal in mind, please send it to Michael McNeil, Electronic Records Archivist at the California State Archives.
The program planning committee is working hard to provide you with a very special ‘un’conference this year. Please plan now to attend this important venue for digital preservation and access.
